ASAL-USUL NAMA DREAM LAND

Objek wisata pantai Dreamland berada di daerah bernama Pecatu. Masih di selatan pulau Bali, Jimbaran dekat dengan GWK ini memang memiliki keindahan yang menyamai KUTA dan malah lebih unik dari kuta, banyak yang bilang The next Kuta beach, tempatnya jauh lebih indah dan lebih sepi pengunjung. Pantai Dreamland dikelilingi oleh tebing-tebing yang menjulang tinggi dan dikelilingi batu karang yang besar di sekitar pantainya. Pantai berpasir putih ini, terletak di bawah tebing yang terjal dengan pemandangannya yang begitu memukau.

Asal usul nama Dreamland dikarenakan dulu di area ini sempat terdapat sebuah proyek perumahan dan objek wisata. Namun proyek tersebut terhambat dan terbengkalai sedangkan para penduduk desa Pecatu yang dulunya hidup sebagai petani sangat berharap proyek selesai dan mereka bisa menekuni bisnis lain di bidang pariwisata. Karena besar harapan masyarakat dan tanah ini menjadi tanah masa depan mereka maka diberilah nama tanah ini dengan dream land (tanah impian)

Pantai Dream land sendiri hampir mirip dengan objek wisata pantai Kuta banyak yang bilang The next Kuta beach, namun jauh lebih indah dan lebih sepi pengunjung. Pasir putih dan celah karang yang terjal menjadi pemandangan yang begitu memikat mata untuk dipandang. Airnya pun masih tampak sebening Kristal. Karena tempatnya yang sepi dan tekstur ombaknya yang bisa dibilang lumayan bagus buat surfing, banyak wisatawan mancanegara untuk datang kesini . Tempat ini juga memiliki karang yang luar biasa unik. sering sekali digunakan untuk pemotretan prewed, model atau bahkan untuk shooting film yang ditayangkan di Indonesia dan luar. Karang ini juga yang menambah nuansa erotis dan romantis dari Pantai ini disamping sunsetnya

KLAPA, PECATU

 

            Di daerah Pecatu ini juga terdapat restoran mewah bernama Klapa. Di restoran ini terdapat kolam renang umum yang mengarah ke laut lepas. Selain itu, di senja hari para pengunjung dimanjakan dengan pemandangan sunset yang memukau diiringi dengan alunan music live. Tempat ini sangat cocok untuk menghabiskan waktu liburan anda dengan orang-orang terdekat.

KELEBIHAN DAN KEKURANGAN OBJEK WISATA

Kelebihan dari objek wisata di Dream Land dan Klapa, Pecatu ini sangat identik dengan pemandangan pantai nya yang memukau. Selain itu juga terdapat tebing-tebing tinggi yang indah yang berada di tepi pantai. Dan praktis nya, apabila kita tidak ingin bermain-main di pantai, kita masih bisa menikmati nya di kolam renang umum yang disediakan yang menghadap langsung kea rah pantai. Di tepi Pantai Dream Land juga terdapat tenda-tenda kecil untuk para turis bersantai sambil menikmati atmosfir pantai tersebut. Selain itu, restoran yang terdapat di Klapa, Pecatu ini juga sering menampilkan live music di senja hari yang menambahkan kenyamanan berada di sana.

Selain dari kelebihan-kelebihan di atas, terdapat juga kekurangan dari objek wisata ini. Menurut saya, kekurangan hanyalah dengan  lokasi nya yang memiliki jarak tempuh yang cukup jauh dari bandara.

Kepulauan Raja Ampat, Papua

ASAL-USUL KEPULAUAN RAJA AMPAT

Asal mula nama Raja Ampat menurut mitos masyarakat setempat berasal dari seorang wanita yang menemukan tujuh telur. Empat butir di antaranya menetas menjadi empat orang pangeran yang berpisah dan masing-masing menjadi raja yang berkuasa di Waigeo, Salawati, Misool Timur dan Misool Barat. Sementara itu, tiga butir telur lainnya menjadi hantu, seorang wanita, dan sebuah batu.

Dalam perjalanan sejarah, wilayah Raja Ampat telah lama dihuni oleh masyarakat bangsawan dan menerapkan sistem adat Maluku. Dalam sistem ini, masyarakat skumpulan manusia. Tiap desa dipimpin oleh seorang raja. Semenjak berdirinya lima kesultanan muslim di Maluku, Raja Ampat menjadi bagian klaim dari Kesultanan Tidore. Setelah Kesultanan Tidore takluk dari Belanda, Kepulauan Raja Ampat menjadi bagian klaim Hindia-Belanda.

MASYARAKAT

Masyarakat Kepulauan Raja Ampat umumnya nelayan tradisional yang berdiam di kampung-kampung kecil yang letaknya berjauhan dan berbeda pulau. Mereka adalah masyarakat yang ramah menerima tamu dari luar, apalagi kalau kita membawa oleh-oleh buat mereka berupa pinang ataupun permen. Barang ini menjadi semacam 'pipa perdamaian indian' di Raja Ampat. Acara mengobrol dengan makan pinang disebut juga "Para-para Pinang" seringkali bergiliran satu sama lain saling melempar mob, istilah setempat untuk cerita-cerita lucu.

Mereka adalah pemeluk Islam dan Kristen dan seringkali di dalam satu keluarga atau marga terdapat anggota yang memeluk salah satu dari dua agama tersebut. Hal ini menjadikan masyarakat Raja Ampat tetap rukun walaupun berbeda keyakinan.

KEKAYAAN SUMBER DAYA ALAM

Kepulauan Raja Ampat merupakan tempat yang sangat berpotensi untuk dijadikan sebagai objek wisata, terutama wisata penyelaman. Perairan Kepulauan Raja Ampat menurut berbagai sumber, merupakan salah satu dari 10 perairan terbaik untuk diving site di seluruh dunia. Bahkan, mungkin juga diakui sebagai nomor satu untuk kelengkapan flora dan fauna bawah air pada saat ini.

Dr John Veron, ahli karang berpengalaman dari Australia, misalnya, dalam sebuah situs ia mengungkapkan, Kepulauan Raja Ampat yang terletak di ujung paling barat Pulau Papua, sekitar 50 mil sebelah barat laut Sorong, mempunyai kawasan karang terbaik di Indonesia. Sekitar 450 jenis karang sempat diidentifikasi selama dua pekan penelitian di daerah itu.

Tim ahli dari Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy, dan Lembaga Oseanografi Nasional (LON) Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) pernah melakukan penilaian cepat pada 2001 dan 2002. Hasilnya, mereka mencatat di perairan ini terdapat lebih dari 540 jenis karang keras (75% dari total jenis di dunia), lebih dari 1.000 jenis ikan karang, 700 jenis moluska, dan catatan tertinggi bagi gonodactyloid stomatopod crustaceans. Ini menjadikan 75% spesies karang dunia berada di Raja Ampat. Tak satupun tempat dengan luas area yang sama memiliki jumlah spesies karang sebanyak ini.

Ada beberapa kawasan terumbu karang yang masih sangat baik kondisinya dengan persentase penutupan karang hidup hingga 90%, yaitu di selat Dampier (selat antara P. Waigeo dan P. Batanta), Kepulauan Kofiau, Kepualauan Misool Timur Selatan dan Kepulauan Wayag. Tipe dari terumbu karang di Raja Ampat umumnya adalah terumbu karang tepi dengan kontur landai hingga curam. Tetapi ditemukan juga tipe atol dan tipe gosong atau taka. Di beberapa tempat seperti di kampung Saondarek, ketika pasang surut terendah, bisa disaksikan hamparan terumbu karang tanpa menyelam dan dengan adaptasinya sendiri, karang tersebut tetap bisa hidup walaupun berada di udara terbuka dan terkena sinar matahari langsung.

Spesies yang unik yang bisa dijumpai pada saat menyelam adalah beberapa jenis kuda laut katai, wobbegong, dan ikan pari Manta. Juga ada ikan endemik raja ampat, yaitu Eviota raja, yaitu sejenis ikan gobbie. Di Manta point yg terletak di Arborek selat Dampier, Anda bisa menyelam dengan ditemani beberapa ekor Manta Ray yang jinak seperti ketika Anda menyelam di Kepulauan Derawan, Kalimantan Timur. Jika menyelam di Cape Kri atau Chicken Reef, Anda bisa dikelilingi oleh ribuan ikan. Kadang kumpulan ikan tuna, giant trevallies dan snappers. Tapi yang menegangkan jika kita dikelilingi oleh kumpulan ikan barakuda, walaupun sebenarnya itu relatif tidak berbahaya (yang berbahaya jika kita ketemu barakuda soliter atau sendirian). Hiu karang juga sering terlihat, dan kalau beruntung Anda juga bisa melihat penyu sedang diam memakan sponge atau berenang di sekitar anda. Di beberapa tempat seperti di Salawati, Batanta dan Waigeo juga terlihat Dugong atau ikan duyung.

Karena daerahnya yang banyak pulau dan selat sempit, maka sebagian besar tempat penyelaman pada waktu tertentu memiliki arus yang kencang. Hal ini memungkinkan juga untuk melakukan drift dive, menyelam sambil mengikuti arus yang kencang dengan air yang sangat jernih sambil menerobos kumpulan ikan.

PENINGGALAN PRA-SEJARAH DAN SEJARAH

Di kawasan gugusan Misool ditemukan peninggalan prasejarah berupa cap tangan yang diterakan pada dinding batu karang. Uniknya, cap-cap tangan ini berada sangat dekat dengan permukaan laut dan tidak berada di dalam gua. Menurut perkiraan, usia cap-cap tangan ini sekitar 50.000 tahun dan menjadi bagian dari rangkaian petunjuk jalur penyebaran manusia dari kawasan barat Nusantara menuju Papua dan Melanesia.

Sisa pesawat karam peninggalan Perang Dunia II bisa dijumpai di beberapa tempat penyelaman, seperti di Pulau Wai

 

AKSES MENUJU KEPULAUAN RAJA AMPAT

Mengunjungi kepulauan ini tidaklah terlalu sulit walau memang memakan waktu dan biaya cukup besar. Kita dapat menggunakan maskapai penerbangan dari Jakarta ke Sorong via Menado selama 6 jam penerbangan. Dari Sorong –kota yang cukup besar dan fasilitas lumayan lengkap- untuk menjelajahi Raja Ampat pilihannya ada dua, ikut tur dengan perahu pinisi atau tinggal di resor Papua Diving.

Sekalipun kebanyakan wisatawan yang datang ke Raja Ampat saat ini adalah para penyelam, sebenarnya lokasi ini menarik juga bagi turis non penyelam karena juga memiliki pantai-pantai berpasir putih yang sangat indah, gugusan pulau-pulau karst nan mempesona dan flora-fauna unik endemik seperti cendrawasih merah, cendrawasih Wilson, maleo waigeo, beraneka burung kakatua dan nuri, kuskus waigeo, serta beragam jenis anggrek.

My Own Advertisement

My own advertisement is about "Inquo Band"
Inquo was a band with genre of British and Jazz.
"Inquo" is a Mandarin. it means "Inggris".
Why I've choose this one to my own advertisement, because the band is mine and my friend's :)
The band is consist of 5 members. There are :
-Adhi as a lead of guitar.
-Andy as a rhythm of guitar.
-Ari as a bass.
-Edwin as a drum.
-(me)Ainun as a vocal.
 Inquo just launch their single, "Rela" on the early of 2011.
this song is wrote by Adhi.
but the main reason why I've choose this one is because we can't avoid that our day is full of music, isn't? and I just want to share to you all about the band and also the song, so you all can add this song to your playlist and enjoy it with your friends. or maybe with this post would be make you wonder to make a band!

Theories of Advertisement

Advertising is a form of communication used to encourage or persuade an audience (viewers, readers or listeners) to continue or take some new action. The purpose of advertising may also be to reassure employees or shareholders that a company is viable or successful. Advertising messages are usually paid for by sponsors and viewed via various traditional media; including mass media such as newspaper, magazines, television commercial, radio advertisement, outdoor advertising or direct mail, or new media such as websites and text messages.

There are some theories of advertising :

• Hierarchy of effects model

It clarifies the objectives of an advertising campaign and for each individual advertisement. The model suggests that there are six steps a consumer or a business buyer moves through when making a purchase. The steps are:

1. Awareness
2. Knowledge
3. Liking
4. Preference
5. Conviction
6. Purchase

• Means-End Theory

This approach suggests that an advertisement should contain a message or means that leads the consumer to a desired end state.

• Leverage Points

It is designed to move the consumer from understanding a product's benefits to linking those benefits with personal values.

• Verbal and Visual Images

Type of advertising

Virtually any medium can be used for advertising. Commercial advertising media can include wall paintings, billboards, street furniture components, printed flyers and rack cards, radio, cinema and television adverts, web banners, mobile telephone screens, shopping carts, web popups, skywriting, bus stop benches, human billboards, magazines, newspapers, town criers, sides of buses and many more! Any place an "identified" sponsor pays to deliver their message through a medium is advertising.

1.      Television advertising/Radio advertising

The advertisement that often we saw in television or heard on radio. It’s like promote about some event that would be held. Such as reality show, music event, football match etc.

2.      Infomercials

This is kind of advertisement that told us some information about new brand or a use of a product. Such as a brand new phone, cosmetic, tool’s cooking, new car, house etc. it’s usually followed by the use and strength of the product.

3.      Online advertising

This advertising is only promoted in some websites. So, if we want to see it we must browse by using internet. There so many things that was promoted on the website. The purpose are same, to introduce new brand and persuade the user of the internet to buy their product.

4.      Press advertising

Press advertising describes advertising in a printed medium such as a newspaper, magazine, or trade journal.

5.      Billboards advertising

Billboards are large structures located in public places which display advertisements to passing pedestrians and motorists. Most often, they are located on main roads with a large amount of passing motor and pedestrian traffic. however, they can be placed in any location with large amounts of viewers, such as on mass transit vehicles and in stations, in shopping malls or office buildings, and in stadiums.

6.      Coffee cup advertising

Coffee cup advertising is any advertisement placed upon a coffee cup that is distributed out of an office, café, or drive-through coffee shop. 

7. Streets advertising

streets advertising is often showed by something that located near by the street, such as on the wall or the road. The advertising could be like a graffiti that showed some product.

8.      Celebrity branding

This type of advertising focuses upon using celebrity power, fame, money, popularity to gain recognition for their products and promote specific stores or products. Advertisers often advertise their products, for example, when celebrities share their favorite products or wear clothes by specific brands or designers. Celebrities are often involved in advertising campaigns such as television or print adverts to advertise specific or general products.

In my opinion, any advertisement always want to shows their best product with their own way. I think to make such an interest advertisement, someone needs an unique idea. And besides that, they also need a high technology to support their work.

A Typewriter

yes, a typewriter

it's kinda out of date if we talk about a typewriter. But we can't avoid that we still need it, especially if you're studying at English literature of Gunadarma Univ. Ya, as we know that we must always make a report for pronoun practice. And our seniors wanted us to make the report by using a typewriter.

We all got stressed out at first before we found the typist near by our campus. And since that day, we always go to there to make our report. When we go to the typist, we just have to give them the report in a normal paper and then they will type it by the typewriter. 

But last time, when my friends and I went to that typist and asked them to make our report, they didn't want to. Their reason is because they didn't have enough time to finish our report. So we forced to make the report by ourselves. And the problem is, we didn't know how to use a typewriter. But our friend, Cau was really excited to finish it. Then me and the others were wanted to finish it too. Cau was more expert than us, so we were learned from her about how to use the typewriter. But it's not as easy as we've thought before. I'm sure you guys are also still didn't know exactly how yo use it. So I'll explain it to you guys!

1.If it's an electric typewriter, turn it on.

2.Flip up the paper guide and place a piece of paper behind the roller.

3.Roll the paper into place.

4.Push the button on the end of the roller to free the paper for minor adjustments.

5.Adjust the paper and press the button again to tighten the roller.

6.Set the line spacing with the lever above the typewriter's keys or behind the roller.

7.Place your hands on the keys, with your index fingers on the F and J keys and your pinkies on the A and semicolon keys.

8.Type precisely and deliberately until you hear the margin bell (if there is one).

9.Push the carriage return lever from left to right, or press Enter on an electric typewriter, and begin typing again.

10.Continue until you reach the bottom of the paper.

11.If you make a mistake, use correction fluid or erase it (if you used erasable paper) and type over the mistake.

12.Repeat with a new piece of paper.

that's it. you'll get some trouble at first.. But it's quite fun and cool if you can do it by yourself!

How To Improve Our English

From the background. As we know, that nowadays many kind of vacancy job that needs an employee who’s be able to use English fluently. This requirement has been exist in almost of every vacancy job. Why is it suppose to be like this? Yes, because English was International language. That means, English was used in every country in the world. So when you visit any country for example, France. and then you don’t know to speaking French, so you may use English to communicating each other. And it’s also happened in Indonesia.

Along with the time, there are many companies or industries in Indonesia who have a work relationship with foreign countries. So the employees are automatically must be able to use English to make them easier carry out their jobs, such as answer the telephone from foreign guest, make a deal with foreign company , presentation, have a talk and so on.

Not only in the occupation, but we also need English in our daily activity. As we can see, that there are many foreign citizens who have lived in our country, especially in Jakarta and Bali. It’s not impossible if one day they asking or greeting or even talking to us with using English. So it is mean that we must know how to communicate in English, either to speaking, reading, writing or listening.

I think that we all know about it. But until right now, there are still some people who don’t care about it. Or may be they just don’t know how to learn. But often, there are some people who already know about using English but they just don’t confident with their skill. So I think, that the people just have to improve a little more of their English.

There are many ways to improve our English, but I just choose the simplest thing of it. for example :

1.   *Often to read any advertisement in the street, in magazine, in television etc. at first when we see the adv, maybe we don’t know the meaning of it. But we certainly will often see the advertisement, and then we can automatically remember the words, and then getting curious to know the meaning of that words. Then we can find it on dictionary. So with that, we can know the words that most uses in the public.

2.  *Often to listening to the west songs. This is same as the method above-- listen to the music, remember the lyrics, curious the meaning of it, and then find the words on dictionary. But It’s better. Why? Because we can easier to remember something when it’s accompanied by the instrument of the music. So with that, we can know many new words from the lyrics and we also can know how to make the sentence of it, plus we can know how to pronounce the words.

3.    *Often to updating our activity or status on social network by using English. It is a very simple way to improve our English, I guess. Because I often do that too. So when we want to write something and sometimes we don’t know what is the best word to make a sentence, we are certainly find out the words from dictionary. Or sometimes we just have to checking for the best sentence composition in google translate. So with that, we can browse many words and it’s of course can improve our English.

4.    *And the last one, is often to speak English with everyone you’ve met. Everyone. Either your Mom, Dad, Sister, Friends, Lecture and so on. Remember, practice make us perfect. With more practice, we can build our confidence in front of the public.

From the examples above, we already improve our English by speaking & listening (when we listen to the music), by reading (when we read any adv), by writing (when we updating status). So it’s very simple isn’t? I’m sure that it’s really worth for us and  I’m sure that you can try it by yourself start from now. Good luck!
